Welcome to our store !

Here at Hobby Robbie we are definitely not new to the hobby sector; it all started out in the mid 1980's with owning a model train set and a slot car track. This evolved to scale model building. After a quite long break the sheer joy of creating something, seeing a car or train go by, was just so satisfying that the hobby was picked up again.

I entered an IPMS show a few years back and won a gold medal after just 3 models were finished back in the hobby. I learned a lot by just asking questions about some doubts in building and trial and error. After all, it's plastic and very replaceable at most.

The passion for supplying has been an ongoing theme in my entire history, and being a merchant at heart just made it all click.

From there on we started buying and selling new and pre-owned model kits, and soon it expanded to a Western European platform for secondhand goods. This was going a bit too well, so we founded Hobby Robbie to sell as a Pro seller on that platform.

Since then it all took a positive swing, with constant sales, over 850 5-star reviews, and a serious following of over 400 people.

The assortment and sales grew, so both had interest in keeping that going. The sometimes unclear policies of the platform and our direction are not a direct match anymore. So since that time, we opened HobbyRobbie.com.

While our assortment is growing rapidly and we are getting more and more requests, we decided to venture into physical trade shows in the area (the Netherlands, West Germany). Still learning and growing our assortment to cater to your hobby.
